Myriam Quiel was born in 1974 in Oldenburg as a daughter of an iranian father and a german mother.
From 1998 until 2003 she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden in the class of Hans-Peter Adamski. After her graduation in 2003 she worked as a freelance artist in Berlin. In 2007 she travelled to Tehran for the first time, 2008 she permanently moved to Tehran, where she stayed until 2016 with her husband and daughter.
Since the beginning of 2017 the artist lives and works in Bad Homburg/ Frankfurt.
