ARTIST STATEMENT
In my paintings I explore the beauty of the incidental and the overlooked. I am fascinated by the discovery of color spaces, subtle shadows and small lights - elements that bring a composition to life. My work moves between gestural brushstrokes and precise figurative painting, sometimes placing both side by side without contradiction. This interplay between control and spontaneity, precision and dissolution allows me to create a dynamic tension that challenges perception. By staging objects that often go unnoticed, I seek to reveal the impossible and transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.
